PRODUCTION TIME AND DELIVERY
All our stools are hand-made with love in Denmark. and it therefore usually takes up to 8 weeks for production and delivery.
The product portfolio consist of a standard collection of four models. Solid Oak, Wengé, Perfect Nude and Piano Black.
SPECIAL COLOUR EDITIONS
We always have 1-3 special editions, which each are produced in a limited number of 200. All editions are numbered.
We love to help our clients with bespoke designs to fit their need. So if you have a special request regarding colour or material, please do not hesitate to contact us. Price upon request.
A seat in Siena is based on a production set up, where we buy and use scrap wood from large scale production and other designers left over material. Therefore we are sometimes lucky to come by something really unique and exclusive. Together with our designers, we transform this left over material into unique items, which only can be produced in very limited numbers. PRODUCTION & MATERIAL
All editions of a seat in Siena are handmade in Denmark and produced from scrap wood from large scale heritage productions and in the carpenters’ overtime. This is how we contribute to minimising waste and embrace a more sustainable, yet beautiful lifestyle.
MATERIAL & COLOUR
The frame is produced from Danish oak and comes in two beautiful variations - Oiled Oak and Fumed Oak. The seat is made of painted plywood with a glossy finish. The vibrant and fluorescent hues are obtained through a custom mix of colour and multiple layers of clear coat.
Oak is an organic material that evolves over time. Daily use adds to the unique character and patina. Because a seat in Siena is produced from scrap wood, they sometimes come with beauty marks. These can for example be a small knob or a slight difference to be traced in the wood’s vein structure.
We think that these marks are beautiful and a part of what makes a seat in Siena unique. We hope that you will cherish them too if your stool has any.

As any other painted product the surface can be scratched if exposed for heavy use or direct contact with sharp items.

2. Shipping and delivery
A seat in Siena products are hand-made by our Danish carpentry partners, some editions are made to order only. Items that are in stock are usually shipped within 1-3 days after registration of purchase and payment. If the item is out of stock or produced on order, a longer delivery time is expected, usually 8 weeks. In this case, we will confirm the delivery time via email.
Cost of delivery
A seat in Siena is currently only shipping within the EU. The shipping is EUR 30 on the webshop at www.aseatinsiena.com.
Inquiries for purchases outside of the EU can be made via email at email@example.com.
3. Return policy
At a seat in Siena, you have a 14-day right of return policy from the day you receive the item as long as the product has not been used and is in its original packaging. When a seat in Siena has accepted the return, we will transfer your refund or exchange the product as you prefer. The purchase amount will be repaid in the same form of payment used in the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. No charge will be applied in connection with repayment.
The following criteria must be met in order for the product to be returned:
To use your right of withdrawal, a seat in Siena must be informed within 14 days after the day you received your goods of your decision to withdraw your purchase. This must be a written statement by e-mail before the deadline.

It costs approx. between DKK 230 – 800, depending on the place of dispatch and product. The price is an estimate and is based on returns from Denmark.
A seat in Siena does not pay the postage or packaging costs of returning the goods. A seat in Siena is not responsible for the package until it has been received. We therefore recommend that you send the product with registered mail and insurance.
The goods are insured in transit and we kindly ask you to check the content of the parcel upon receipt. If, upon receipt of your goods, you discover a defect in the product, or if a seat in Siena has made an error in the shipment of your product(s), please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will kindly replace the item or return the cost of the item if no longer in stock.
When the claim has been approved, a seat in Siena will credit you for your shipping costs (max. DKK 230).
A seat in Siena reserves the right to withhold repayment until we receive the returned goods, or until we have received documentation that the goods have been shipped to us, whichever is earliest.
The condition of the item when you send it back
If the item has lost value and it is because you have used it in a different way than what was necessary to determine the item's nature, properties and the way it works, you can only get part of the purchase amount back. The amount you can get back depends on the commercial value of the item, and in some cases it may mean that you can only get the shipping costs back.
Claims and warranty
All products purchased on aseatinsiena.com are covered by the Sale of Goods Act two-year warranty, which means you can submit a claim about a product defect up to 2 years after the date of purchase. The warranty does not apply in cases of improper use, wear and tear or lack of maintenance.
At a seat in Siena you can pay for your purchase with the payment methods available on the webshop (credit / debit card). All amounts are incl. 25% Danish VAT and are in Euro or Danish kroner.
5. Privacy & Security
Our webshop payments system “Wix Payments” complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), which means that it is safe to shop with a seat in Siena. A seat in Siena or other external parties have no access to your data. Your personal data such as name, shipping address, etc. are treated as 100% confidential, and we therefore guarantee that no one other than a seat in Siena has access to them.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Danish law and you and we agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts in respect of any matter arising hereunder.
